About FUNK

The name FUNK is coming from 'Funky', the beloved dog of Lisa - one of the co-owners. Funky was a black labrador who liked to swim in the lake next to her house on the left side of Antwerp. She liked to go out for a walk even tho her legs didn't always feel the same way at the end. 

In addition, she loved (delicious) food and drinks and was always ready for a snack, shortly said: Funky loved and enjoyed life.

Unfortunately, Funky died at the age of 14 during the week that Lisa visited the FUNK bakery for the first time. Since we - at Bakkerij FUNK - want to continue living and celebrating the 'Funky' lifestyle, we decided to refer our new bakery to this though and loving-life soulmate.
